How viewer information is handled
Zuvia Privacy Policy
This Policy explains the information used to deliver films, series, episodes, clips, trailers, playback, membership, and account services in Zuvia, together with the choices available to you.
1. Scope and privacy principles
This Privacy Policy applies when you install or use Zuvia, create an account, browse the media library, watch video, use saved viewing tools, purchase membership through Apple, contact support, or otherwise interact with the service. It describes the categories of data collected, collection methods, data use purposes, disclosures, retention, safeguards, and individual choices.
We limit collection to information used for a stated service, security, legal, or improvement purpose. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so you should protect your account credentials and device access.
2. Categories of data collected
Account and contact information
When you register or contact support, we collect the information you submit, such as account identifier, nickname, email address, authentication records, support messages, language, region, and settings. We do not ask you to send passwords or full payment-card numbers to customer support.
Viewing and media activity
We collect viewing history, watch progress, search queries, media preferences, saved titles, interactions with films, series, episodes, clips and trailers, playback events, subtitle or audio selections, and recommendation responses. This activity supports continuity across sessions, library organization, relevant discovery, and playback troubleshooting.
Device, network, and diagnostics
We collect device model, operating-system version, app version, device identifiers used for service operation, IP address, approximate region derived from IP, network type, time zone, language, crash records, performance measurements, security events, and timestamps. We do not use precise location unless Zuvia separately requests permission and explains the feature before collection.
Membership and transaction information
For an Apple in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment credentials. Zuvia receives transaction identifiers, product information, purchase status, renewal or expiration status, and purchase records needed to activate membership, restore access, prevent fraud, and provide support. We do not receive the full payment-card number used by Apple.
3. Collection methods
Information is collected directly from you when you create an account, choose settings, contact support, or submit a request. It is collected automatically from the app and device when you browse, search, start playback, encounter an error, or interact with service features. It is also received from Apple for purchases, subscription status, and restoration, and from service providers that support hosting, diagnostics, security, and customer assistance.
iOS permission prompts control access to protected device capabilities. Declining an optional permission prevents the associated feature from using that capability but does not remove unrelated viewing functions. Operating-system settings can be used to review or change permissions.
4. Data use purposes
We process information to provide and maintain accounts; authenticate sign-in; deliver the media library; resume playback; synchronize viewing history; present saved titles; personalize film and series discovery; activate and restore membership; answer support requests; and communicate service, security, and policy notices.
We also use information to detect fraud and account abuse, enforce playback and licensing restrictions, measure reliability, fix crashes, understand feature performance, protect rights holders, comply with legal duties, and establish or defend legal claims. Aggregated or de-identified information can be used for analysis and service planning when it no longer reasonably identifies an individual.
The legal basis for processing depends on the activity and the law governing you. Processing can be necessary to perform the service contract, comply with law, protect legitimate service and security interests, or act on consent. When consent is the basis, you can withdraw it as described below without affecting processing completed before withdrawal.
6. International processing and safeguards
Zuvia and its service providers can process information in countries or regions different from your own. Privacy and data-protection rules differ between locations. We use recognized transfer safeguards required for a transfer, such as contractual protections, access controls, security reviews, and transfer assessments. Mandatory rights in your home jurisdiction remain available to you.
7. Data retention
We retain account information while the account is active and for a limited period afterward to complete deletion, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Viewing history and media preferences are kept while needed for playback continuity and personalization, and can be deleted or disassociated earlier through available controls. Diagnostic logs are generally retained for a shorter operational period. Purchase records are retained for the period required to support membership access, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Retention periods are determined by the type of information, service purpose, sensitivity, security risk, legal requirement, and whether deletion would impair the rights of another person. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted, anonymized, or isolated from active use in accordance with our retention process.
8. Access, correction, deletion requests, and consent withdrawal
You can review and update certain account information and viewing settings inside Zuvia. You can request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion by emailing us. Describe the request and the account concerned. We will verify identity in a proportionate manner before disclosing or deleting information. We can retain limited records when required for security, transactions, legal duties, or the rights of others, and we will explain a lawful restriction in our response.
For deletion requests, use the in-app account-deletion control or contact the address below. Account deletion removes or de-identifies personal information according to the retention rules. It does not cancel an Apple-billed subscription; subscription cancellation must be completed in Apple ID account settings.
For consent withdrawal, change the related app or iOS setting or email us. Withdrawal applies going forward. You can also disable optional communications through the method provided in the message. Service and security notices remain necessary while an account or active transaction is maintained.
9. Children's privacy
Zuvia is not directed to children below the minimum age required to independently consent to data processing in their country or region. A minor may use the service only with a parent or legal guardian's authorization and supervision. We do not knowingly seek personal information from a child who cannot legally provide consent.
If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted personal information without valid authorization, they should contact us. After appropriate verification, we will delete the information or take another action required by law. Parents and guardians should review age ratings and supervise film, series, episode, clip, and trailer selections.
10. Policy updates
We can revise this Policy to reflect changes in Zuvia, data practices, safety measures, or legal obligations. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another reasonable notice before the new version takes effect. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
11. Privacy contact
Send privacy questions or rights requests to nexoluneHelp@163.com. Include enough information to identify your account and request, but do not send a password or complete payment-card details.
